HAPPY THANKSGIVING BREAK, SMITH. :)

ISO: 1000  f/2.8  SS: 1/500  Lens: 120-300mm

The assignment was Tigers Got Talent, Round 1!  Alex and Heather were my friends and I, having such an off day that day, had forgotten my card at home. SO, among my running around trying to find another photographer with a card, I missed shooting their act. So I took special care to make sure I got them at the end. This was my favorite shot of the whole night. :)
I cropped and changed the exposure a bit.

Six Weeks Project: Self Portrait

Makeup for November 16
ISO: 125  f/22  SS: 1/250  Lens: 17-50mm

I'm way more happy with how this picture turned out. :) I had two lights set up instead of having the back light and making Allison just hold the second light.  I got the second light set up with an umbrella and figured out the right light ratios. (I was so proud of myself!) I loved the lighting when I was done. I felt like this captured what I wanted it to show way better than the last, and my face is in it this time! :)

I cropped this photo, brought up the fill light and added a vignette.

Self Portrait: First Try

Makeup for November 14
ISO: 100  f/20.0  SS: 1/250  Lens:  15-500mm

I knew I wanted my self portrait to have something to do with Photography because that's what I want to do after I graduate.  I took forever trying to set it up but I learned how to use the light meter and how to use the flash.  After I processed these pictures, I decided that I didn't like it. I felt like the focus of the picture ended up being the center of the umbrella, and I didn't like the harsh shadows. I wanted my portrait to show more of my face. This was the result of my first try. I don't feel like it was a total failure, but it's not what I wanted.

I cropped this photo and turned up the fill light.

Arsenic and Old Lace

ISO: 800  f/2.8  SS: 1/250  Lens: 120-300mm
The assignment was to shoot Arsenic and Old Lace. This was my first assignment in the PAC center, and I was a bit worried about shooting with the theater lighting, but once I got through the first few pictures I didn't do too bad! This is the scene where the old women are trying to poison an old man that came looking for a place to stay.

I cropped this photo, white balanced it, upped the exposure, upped the fill light and the blacks.

Tigers Got Talent

I was supposed to take pictures of the Tigers Got Talent auditions.  Luckily, I'd taken pictures of Arsenic and Old Lace the night before, so I didn't have any problems with the exposure.  It was kind of miserable shooting this, really... It was an hour and some minutes of... well, not so wonderful singers. A horrible comedy act... When I finally got to the end with a girl who was playing piano, it was wonderful. I loved it.

Judith McCarthy Ad

Make up for some day or another. (I'm in a hurry!!)
ISO: 100  f/2.8  SS: 1/250  Lens:  17-50mm

I had to shoot an ad for Judith McCarthy.  Apparently the computer is refusing to upload my cropped picture, so this is as good as I can get it. I'm pretty happy with this picture. I'll need to figure out how to arrange people better, though. I cropped it and upped the exposure.

Abby Norwood

Make up for some day or another. (I'm in a hurry!!)
ISO: 100  f/6.3  SS: 1/250  Lens:  17.0-50.0mm

I had to take head shots of a bunch of people because Mrs. Potter decided the pictures on the Automobiles spread were too dark.  None of the people were HAPPY that I had to take their picture again, and one of the people ran off and didn't go back to class... Irresponsible people.
Anyway, I used a a brighter background and used flash for a fill light.
I cropped this picture, upped the fill light.
