Cropped, exposure up, fill light, color correct

I took photos of my first basketball game! I was shooting JV vs. Royce City. :)
Aside from, I think, the flash being pointed in the WAAYYY wrong direction (which I didn't do, I just left it from 9th grade), I was really happy with these pictures! My timing was pretty great and I got a lot of basket photos. I didn't get a whole lot of defense photos, but hey. My first game was pretty good. SUUCCEESSS! :)

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 26 - Golden Hour (Not Failures, but not good!)

ISO: 200  f/2.8  SS: 1/200  Lens: 28-75mm
ISO: 200 f/2.8  SS: 1/200  Lens: 28-75mm
ISO: 200  f/2.8  SS: 1/200  Lens: 28-75

Golden Hour Gold Rose photos. Not my best idea. I basically just stuck this gold rose in the ground or picked it up and just took a bunch of pictures. They're PRETTY, but... didn't really get the whole "Golden Hour" thing.
I just shouldn't use a GOLD object for golden hour.
Cropped, blacks brought up on all.

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 24 - Practice With Golden Hour

ISO: 200  f/2.8  SS: 1/200  Lens: 28-75mm

I decided to try to practice with Golden Hour photos before going out and taking the real ones for my project. Me, being the smart person I am, brought a GOLD rose to take GOLDEN HOUR pictures, so there was no contrast at all. BUT, I also brought a feather boa and a green bird cage. This was not one of the better pictures

I cropped and brought the fill light up just a little.

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 20

ISO: 100  f/6.3  SS: 1/250  Lens:  17-50mm

A class was learning how to use fire extinguishers, and I went to go have fun taking fire pictures!  There was a machine with a liquid in it that they could control to turn the fire on and off. It was REALLY cool!
I think this is an awesome picture, especially since the exposure was impossible. This guy, obviously a Black guy, was in the bright sun, and the fire machine thing was in a shadow. I was like wow, what the mess. But anyway, THIS was the result. I like that you can see the fire, and the smoke stuff, and the distortion from the heat.
I cropped, adjusted exposure, brought fill up annnnd yeah! Yeah. :)

 ISO: 400  f/4.0  SS: 1/250  Lens: EF70-200
ISO: 1600  f/4.0  S:1/125  Lens: EF70-200mm

Yearbook head shots. So many yearbook head shots!
I don't remember the names of these people, but I had to take photos of them for the cover of the yearbook. I was having a decent time with it, at least. They turned out good.

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 13 - Fail picture. :P

ISO: 100  f/6.3  SS: 1/250  Lens: 17-50mm

Well, I wanted a "PINK" photo, since it's my favorite color. It didn't turn out utterly HORRIBLE, but I don't like the shadows and the lighting. It's just not... good. Yeah. It's just not. I probably need to work on lighting for this kind of thing. I really don't like the light off the background. Meh.
Just need to work on this and re-take it.

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 13

ISO:400 f/2.8  SS: 1/4000  Lens: 17-50mm
Head shot of Jenny Wyrick. I messed up a bit with the bright background, but I think it works alright because she's wearing such dark clothing and it's contrasting. I don't know. I know I messed up, but it didn't turn out HORRIBLE.
Natural lighting. I should've used a flash.

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 11

ISO: 400  f/7.1  SS:1/125  Lens: 17-50mmHead shot of Allison Farhni. Allison specifically asked me to take her head shot because she says I'm good at them. That was kind of flattering. She likes this picture, so I'm happy with it.
Natural lighting.

MAKEUP FOR JAN. 9

ISO: 400 f/6.3  SS: 1/125  Lens: 17-50mm
I had to take headshots of Whitney Jaynes. Honestly, at this point, I know how to take a headshot. I probably should've put her head not so much in the center, but frankly, it's a headshot. I've taken a hundred of these. They're not perfect, but they're not horrible either.
I just used natural light.

Red Stripes - MAKEUP FOR JAN 5

ISO: 100  f/4.5  SS: 1/250  Lens: 28-75mm

I just wanted a new profile picture, actually. My favorite color is red and I'm obsessed with the way red clothes look, so I wore my red outfit and here's the results.
I had to set up a whole bunch of lights and it was terrible. But anyway, it worked! It was a bit blown because we failed to block the light from bouncing towards me from the flash, but either way. It's cute. :)
I added a color filter over it and this is the before/after.

The Boyfriend That I Won't Let Touch Me

ISO: 1600  f/2.8  SS: 1/200  Lens:  17-50mm

ISO: 1600  f/2.8  SS: 1/200  Lens:  17-50mm

So first off, I have to tell you the short story behind this. Keizer and I met waaay back when I met him when I lived in Alaska. Keizer lived in Alaska, and we'd been best friends for nearly 4 years. I don't let him touch me because it's AWKWARD. He is, was and has been my BEST. FRIEND. IN. THE. WHOLE. WORLD. FOR. FOUR. YEARS. So yes, he's the boyfriend I don't let touch me. My sister goes "KISS HIM! KISS HIM!" and so I did, and she clicked the camera a whole hundred times and here's the result.

Anyway, I was taking pictures for Christmas, and... yeah, these are those pictures. They aren't properly exposed, I think. I can't really tell...
